American Heart Association:  Ben Cauley - The Ultimate Survivor

On December 9, 1967, Otis Redding and the Bar-kays appeared on Upbeat, a local TV show in Cleveland, OH,

followed by an evening concert.  The next morning they boarded a twin engine plane and headed for Madison, Wisconsin.

At 3:30 pm, the plane went down three miles from the runway in the churning waters of Lake Monona.

Only one person survived the crash - Ben Cauley.  This video, commissioned by the

American Heart Association, recounts his life's story as a musician, father and stroke survivor.
